Overview
Touro University California is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing and Projects Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the university's marketing initiatives across various programs, developing innovative content, and assisting in the management of strategic projects. The ideal candidate will bring a fresh perspective to marketing ideas while delivering high-quality copywriting that resonates with diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Copywriting: Develop clear, compelling content for a variety of platforms, including digital, print, and social media, to promote the university's programs and mission. Writes timely news items, press releases, and other university content to amplify the TUC brand across various platforms including the university website, email newsletters, and social media channels.
Marketing Ideation & Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and implement new ideas for promoting university programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with Touro's brand voice and strategic goals.
Project Coordination: Support project management across the Advancement department, coordinating timelines, resources, and communication to ensure the successful execution of marketing campaigns and special projects. Effectively manages multiple marketing projects to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality content.
Campaign Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns, including email newsletters, digital advertising, and social media outreach, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Media Partnerships: Partners with external publications and media outlets to raise awareness of the university, pitching stories and coordinating media placements for increased visibility.
Brand Consistency: Maintain a cohesive brand identity across all communications, ensuring all messaging reflects Touro's values and mission.
Research & Insights: Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, audience preferences, and competitor activities, incorporating insights into marketing strategies.
Photos: Takes photos at events as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Associate's degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in marketing, copywriting, or project coordination, ideally within a higher education or nonprofit setting.
Skills:
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a focus on marketing copy and storytelling.
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including social media and content marketing.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in content management systems, social media platforms, and basic graphic design skills is a plus.
- Familiarity with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus.
Abilities: Creative thinker, detail-oriented, team player, and adaptable to a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
